Mission Statement:
From Parent-Tot to competitive teams and everything in between HUGS Gymnastics is here to provide our community with a safe fun place for children to develop physically and emotionally! It is our goal to create a positive culture and foster an enviornment that helps each child develop to their individual potential.
Our coaches are USAG Safety Certified, CPR Certified, and have undergone extensive in gym training. We pride ourselves on our coaching staff and a friendly environment that has made Huntley Unlimited Gymnastics School one of Illinois premier gymnastics training facilities. With over 15,000 square feet and a variety of programs, H.U.G.S has it all.
Jenn Baker was a gymnast for 13 years and has been coaching for 22 years.
In 2018, after successfully owning and operating the Tot Gym for 8 years, Jenn became the new owner of HUGS Gymnastics. Jenn has a Bachelors Degree in Child Psychology and a Masters Degree in Elementary Education. She is a Professional Member with USAG, Safety Certified with USAG and CPR Certified.
Jill and her family have been a part of HUGS since 2011 when her older daughter began walking. As a mother of three athletes, one being a college soccer player and two being upper level competitive gymnasts right here at HUGS, she uses her experience and knowledge to help make HUGS a great place for not only the gymnasts, but the families as well. Jill is USAG and CPR Certified. You can find her at check in, in the office, coaching a class, and popping in and out of the gym
Becca has been a competitive team coach for 12 years. Before her coaching days she was a competitive gymnast up to level 10 and a 2 x national qualifier! Her favorite event to coach is uneven bars and outside of the gym her favorite thing to do is explore nature with her dog.
Sarah has a background in health, fitness and the body as a personal trainer for the last 8 years, that in addition to having gymnastics experience herself make her such a great asset to our coaching staff. She has 2 little athletes herself, a dancer and gymnast who started as a baby in the parent tot classes 8 years ago here at HUGS and is now a member of our competitive team! You can find her coaching pre-k through team track classes.
Sarah has been coaching at HUGS since 2020. She has 4 kids who are all gymnasts on our competitive program so you can say she knows a thing or 2 about gymnastics! Sarah played collegiate sports herself and has been involved in coaching and training in various levels from camp counselor, group fitness, and high school sports since 2003. She has degree in Math and minor in Education. She is USAG Safety Certified and CPR Certified. You can find her around the gym coaching everything from pre-k to pre-team!
Starting coaching at HUGS in 2016 after being a HUGS competitive gymnast herself! She began coaching pre- and recreational class and now is our Head Xcel Team coach. She is USA Gymnastics professional and safety certified.
Alex began coaching at HUGS in 2018 and coaches recreational classes, team track and competitive team. She is USA Gymnastics professional and safety certified.
AL Was a competitive mens gymnast himself as HUGS and now is our head boys coach. You can find Al coaching recreational boys, pre-team and our competitive team!
Megan joined HUGS in 2021 after being a preschool teacher for years and retired gymnast she combined both of her passions to coach our under 5 gymnasts. You can find her coaching and heading up our prek playdate and tot camps. You can also her find her around the the gym cheering on her 3 little boy gymnasts as well!
Yan has been coaching at HUGS since 2020. She coaches our under 5 gymnasts in parent tot, pre k and mini ninja. She has 3 kids at home and in her free time enjoys to movies and concerts!
Ella was a competitive gymnast for 10 years. After she hung up her leotard she began coaching here at HUGS in 2021. Her favorite event is floor and you can catch her smiling around the gym and coaching all recreation levels and pre-team!
Kyara was a competitive gymnast here at HUGS for 6 years. After she retired she missed gymnastics so much she came back to coach! She is studying to be a pediatric psychiatrist in college and in her free time loves shopping and traveling.
